Established in the Province of Québec since 1969, JSP is dedicated to manufacturing superior quality wooden furniture. This family business enjoys an enviable reputation based on the excellence of their products and their service.
PRODUCTS & MARKETS :
The quality of JSP’s furniture is equally apparent in its concept as it is in its choice of the raw materials. Only high quality components are used to make JSP furniture, including top grade white ash or birch, kiln-dried at their plant according to stringent criteria... up to drawers which are fitted on all-metal ball bearing slides, the finest on the market.
JSP’s products are aimed at two specific markets. The hospitality sector for whom they produce bedroom furniture, chairs, armchairs, sofa-beds and occasional tables, plus the U.S. home entertainment retail business.

It is this passion for quality that has allowed JSP to acquire a solid reputation in the hospitality market. In fact, throughout the years, JSP has developed an expertise in fine hotel furniture, both in North-America and abroad. JSP exports furniture to the Middle East and recently exported their first order to Argentina.
Today, JSP’s furnishings are found in hundreds of hotels throughout Canada and the United States. Therefore, it is not uncommon that customers return to JSP when the time comes to furnish new projects.

For special projects, JSP frequently produces custom furniture. The many years experience of their design staff assures a final product which often exceeds the customer’s demands.
THE PERSONNEL :
At JSP you can count on qualified and experienced people. In fact, half the employees have 15+ years experience. Almost 70 people put their know-how and their passion together in order to conceive and produce quality furniture.
To do so, a multi-disciplinary team works in close cooperation with the production staff.
A designer, with more than 20 years experience in the wood furniture business, contributes to the design and concept of new furniture. A JSP employee for more than 12 years, a drafter from École du meuble (Furniture Design College), produces computerized work sheets for all the components, an essential tool for the production staff.
A production engineer ensures constant quality and supervises different stages of production. Responsible for maintenance, a qualified mechanic also adapts and conceives new equipments to answer specific production needs.
Last but not least, the family members and the office personnel have at heart to provide the best service worthy of JSP products.
THE EQUIPMENT :
JSP kiln-dries its own wood for a better humidity and quality control. Installed throughout the plant, a humidifying system assures an optimal and constant humidity level in the wood.
Thanks to their electronic gluing equipment, all the solid wood panels are produced in-house instead of being subcontracted. This way, the wood quality and its humidity content do not escape their stringent controls. The veneer panels are also made on site. In fact, a 500 ton press ensures maximal adhesive strength when veneering.
A computer assisted numeric rotor ensures unequalled precision on furniture with intrecate design.
An ultra precise sand-finishing machine with integrated electronic detectors allows a uniform sanding and a superior finish.
Furthermore, the plant with its 100 000 square feet ( 9 300 square meters) operates its own paint department where a qualified personnel provides a meticulous finish. When compared to conventional stain, JSP’s paint product application method, applied in many stages, enhances remarkably the wood’s richness.
Lastly, in order to offer constant quality and to be cost efficient, JSP has developed and uses for nearly 15 years a made to measure management software for their production. Even today, few manufacturing companies in the furniture business can count on such technology.

Thanks to recent investments and to the hiring of new employees, the company’s annual sales are in excess of 12 million dollars... quite an achievement with only a day shift.
